Marionette Lines
Marionette lines are the wrinkles that extend from the corners of the mouth down to the chin. In German, they are sometimes colloquially referred to as “Merkel wrinkles.” Unfortunately, they can give the face a grim or upset appearance. Through targeted treatment with hyaluronic acid, marionette lines can be effectively smoothed. We often combine hyaluronic acid fillers with Botox therapy targeting the often overactive muscle responsible for pulling the corners of the mouth downward (depressor anguli oris muscle, or DAO).

Frequently Asked Questions
What can I do as a preventive measure before treatment (Pre-Care)?
Arnica D12 can be taken before and after the treatment. If possible, blood-thinning medications (e.g., aspirin/ASA) should be avoided for one week prior to treatment, and alcohol should be avoided for 12 hours before the procedure.
What should I do after the treatment (Post-Care)?
Saunas, extreme cold, UV radiation, and cosmetic massages should be avoided for one week. If possible, do not touch the injection areas with your fingers. Heavy physical labor, upside down positions, and sports should also be avoided for the first two days. It is important to stay hydrated.
