Following a detailed consultation and examination, the treatment is usually performed under local anesthesia. The procedure is brief, painless, and takes place in a relaxed atmosphere. Dr. med. Meike Schröder places great emphasis on structured aftercare, including individual skincare recommendations and consistent sun protection to ensure an optimal aesthetic result.

What should be observed before and during the treatment of my skin lesions?

Please arrive for your laser treatment without makeup, especially in the eye area. Laser therapy will not be performed in the event of acute skin inflammation or infections (e.g., herpes simplex).

We will provide you with laser safety goggles during the procedure.

What should be observed after the treatment of my skin lesions?

After the treatment, a scab will form, which should not be removed and must be kept dry. We provide a special wound ointment to treat the area. This scab typically falls off after about one week. For four weeks following the laser treatment, direct UV exposure (sun, tanning beds) should be avoided to prevent the occurrence of pigmentary changes.

On sunny days (even in winter!), the use of sunscreen with a high protection factor (SPF 50+) is recommended. Occasionally, redness may persist at the treated site for a longer period; this should also be protected from intense sunlight.
