Vampire Lift and 8-Point Lift: Highlights from the NDG Aesthetics Course in Warnemünde
Dr. Eva Meigel (Hamburg) and Dr. Meike Schröder led the aesthetics course at the North German Dermatological Society (NDG) conference in Rostock-Warnemünde. The topics were the Vampire Lift, the Liquid Lift and combined peeling procedures for the skin. The Hohe Düne conference center once again proved to be a beautiful venue. The medical aestheticians Desire John and Johanna Preußer accompanied Dr. Schröder and were a great help in the practical part of the fully booked course.
Dr. Meigel’s presentation on the Vampire Lift was particularly interesting. Growth factors obtained from the patient’s own blood are applied after needling or peeling the skin and strongly stimulate its regeneration. The Vampire Lift is used both in anti-aging and in scar therapy.
Dr. Schröder spoke about the various options of the Liquid Lift and, in the practical part, demonstrated the so-called 8-Point Lift according to Mauricio de Maio. The Liquid Lift is performed with highly cross-linked hyaluronic acids and prevents the age-related sagging of the facial contours. The treatment is hardly painful, takes about 30 minutes and lasts about 1.5 years.
